“China Through the Looking Glass, An Exhibition of Virtuosity” in the Great Hall of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, May 14. Great urns in the wall niches and in center of the Hall festooned with branches of cherry blossoms Magically changing lighting in lavender, blue and pale gold cascading over the Corinthian Columns and the Domes of the ceiling.

Lang Lang, rock star of the piano, on a pedestal surrounded by an audience in awe of his dramatic interpretation of Chopin and Tchaikovsky, and his delicate artistry that transports you to China with Dance of the Seaweed, Dance of the Coral, Autumn Moon over Calm Lake, by various Chinese composers. Warm, friendly , exciting Lang Lang, “first time I have ever played in a museum — I like the acoustics,” Lang Lang explaining each piece he played. Lang Lang- I am a groupie and go whenever he comes to the NYC area. Seated keyboard side you will be in a musical orgy of sound.
