I Puritani

Saw “I Puritani” last night. Old tired production, but Diana Damrau and Javier Camarena and Bellini’s music made it one of the more exciting visits to the Met Opera in a long time. Only one more opportunity to see them on Tuesday night, February 28.

One Response to “I Puritani”

  1. I had never seen or heard “I Puritani,” and although the sets were “tired” just as Joshua wrote, the lead voices were exceptional and the duets and trios were glorious. Every seat was taken and the applause was enthusiastic and sustained. It was a delightful evening in itself, and a wonderful way way to escape having to listen to Donald Trump.
