Jackie Mason at The Oxford Union

Anglophile members of The VDP are aware that The Oxford Union is the world’s most famous debating society, which invites a wide range of speakers to Oxford University. People honored by the Union over the years include the Dalai Lama, former British Prime Ministers Winston Churchill and Margaret Thatcher, Mother Theresa, Desmond Tutu, Robert Kennedy and Henry Kissinger. Last week, on YouTube, I was interested to find the attached remarks, recorded a number of years ago, of an unexpected honoree who, based on the reactions of the audience, could assert that his invitation was justified as well.
