Tiny Beautiful Things

UnknownLast week, we spent 80 minutes with 350 audience members at The Public Theater. In absolute silence, we watched Nia Vardalos and three others speak the questions and answers to some of life’s major and minor issues. The audience tilted to older, so everyone had experienced more than some of the experiences being discussed. Apparently, The Public Theater is presenting an encore run of this “comedy” that’s based on Cheryl Strayed’s seriously well-written book. It runs until December 3rd.

Dale and I are long ago graduates of the EST Training and although we didn’t know what we were going to be in for, we would be pre-disposed to liking this kind of experience. That said, there appeared to be complete agreement as the audience stood to applaud and left the theatre in silence.
