Visionaries at The Guggenheim Museum

gen-press-visionaries-install-heroDon’t miss the current show, “Visionaries.” 170 works from the Museum’s collection – Calder, Duchamp, Klee, Mondrian, Picasso, Kandinsky… and more – organized around its six early patron collectors: Justin Thannhauser, Karl Nierendorf, Peggy Guggenheim, Katherine Dreier, Hilla Rebay and museum founder Solomon R. Guggenheim. The collection sweeps down the sloping Frank Lloyd Wright ramp, lots of space around each painting or sculpture, descriptions of each work of art on a nearby wall so your view is not blocked. A brilliant collection in a great space. (We skipped the 24 karat gold working toilet – too long a line.)
